Dear IAPR Members and Friends,
As we move forward in our academic year, it is a true honour to invite you to a historic moment for our association: the 2027 International Association for the Psychology of Religion Conference, which will take place in Brasília, Brazil, from October 19th to 22nd, 2027.
Under the overarching theme “Psychology of Religion Across Time, Countries, and Disciplines,” this conference marks a momentous occasion as we gather for the very first time in South America. Hosted by the Catholic University of Brasília, our program will reflect on the historical trajectories, global diversity, and interdisciplinary intersections that shape our field today.
Brasília — a city renowned for its iconic modern architecture, luminous horizon, and warm hospitality — provides a unique backdrop to bridge paradigms and foster dialogue across traditions, methodologies, and cultures. Beyond an inspiring scientific program, we look forward to sharing vibrant artistic expressions, rich cultural exchanges, and meaningful personal encounters.
Mark your calendars! Details regarding the call for proposals, keynote speakers, and travel guidance will be shared in our upcoming communications.
We look forward to opening our doors and minds to you all in Brasília in October 2027.
Warm regards,
Marta Helena de Freitas
